Most of us being consistent users of internet need our browsers up and running at all times whatsoever. Although it is true to say that more often we face difficulties when the browser we trusted won’t load or open pages or crash at the most inconvenient of times. There are many ways to look into and sort out the underlying reasons some of which are briefly discussed below:

1.    Frozen Tabs

Tabs freeze all the time when on chrome. The reasons range from opening a very heavy web address or numerous tabs at the same time to hefty usage of RAM by a large number of unnecessary programs running in the background of your browser. The best way to address this problem is as follows:

How to close frozen tabs using the Chrome Task Manager

  •         Open the Chrome task manager by pressing Shift+Esc at the same time. Another way to open this task manager is by opening the chrome menu and finding task manager under More Tools option.
  •          From the task manager, select the frozen tab. The task manager will show the frozen tabs as Not Responding.
  •          Hit the End Process button.
  •          This will immediately close the malfunctioning tabs.
  •          You can repeat this process for all the problematic tabs.

2. Disabling Extensions

2. Disabling Extensions

At some times, the reason for an inefficient performance of Google Chrome can be the installed extensions and removing them can alleviate the problems being faced due to it. Given below is the guide to fix this problem:

How to uninstall Extensions / Addons from the Chrome Browser

  •   Click the menu button.
  •  Go to Tools.
  •  Click Extensions.
  •  Here you will find all the extensions which you have installed on your chrome. This page also shows which extensions are currently running and which are disabled.
  •  Uncheck each of the extensions in the list. This will disable all the installed extensions.
  •   Restart your browser.
  •   Now, enable your extensions one by one checking alongside after enabling every single extension to figure out which of the extensions is the one causing all the trouble.
  •   Once you’ve found the problematic extension, just uninstall this extension and you’re good to go.

4. Remove Cookies

In some cases, the reason for the faulty performance of chrome can be a corrupt cookie. Given below is the way to clear the cookies from Chrome.

How to clear cookies from Chrome Browser
  •   Click the Menu button and select Settings.
  •    Scroll to the bottom of this page and select Show Advanced Settings.
  •    Scroll to the Privacy section and click Content Settings.
  •     Here, in the bottom of Cookies section shows a button called All cookies and site data.               Click on it.
  •    Click on the Remove All button and all your cookies are cleared.

5. Clear Local Storage Folder

Corrupt local files can also undermine Chrome function. Clearing it involves the following steps:
  •  Close all running Chrome tabs and windows.
  •  Open the Control Panel.
  •   Select Folder Options.
  •    Click the View tab and find Show Hidden Files, Folders And Drives. Click OK.
  •     Open Chrome user data.
  •     There are many files present in this location. Delete these files.
  •      Now Reopen Chrome.

These were a few of the most commonly occurring reasons that lead to faulty working of Google Chrome and fixing them is just as easy following the given guidelines because a functional browser is the basis of a sound online activity.

If you are having any other issues like Blank Page Issue, Download Erros, Google Chrome has stopped Working errors, No Internet Issue or Slow Internet Issue, Crashing Error or any other unexpected error in google chrome then to get rid of these issues try Resetting Chrome Browser. Even if Resetting your browser doesn’t work then try to Reinstall Chrome by first uninstalling it from the system.

Common Problems on Desktops Fix

Jmk Technical Services Inc.

There are two types of common computer problems; hardware and software. Most people are familiar with software related computer problems because they present an error message identifying a specific program as the cause. Viruses are another common computer problem associated with software.
Common computer problems caused by hardware are more difficult for the average user to identify. Hardware components like the motherboard, hard drive and power supply unit (PSU) are a much bigger cause of common computer problems than most people realize.

Problems Caused By Viruses The most common computer problems today are viruses. They can affect hard drives, flash drives, MP3 players, cell phones and almost any removable media that connects to a computer. MalwareBytes is an antivirus program good at removing viruses if it is run soon after the infection occurs. If a virus is on the computer for very long, it is often faster and more effective to reformat the computer and do a complete reinstall of the operating system and software applications.
The best way to deal with viruses is to prevent them from infecting the computer in the first place. Installing a quality antivirus program like Avira is always a good idea. Keeping the antivirus program up to date and running a virus scan regularly will make it much more difficult for a virus to infect the computer and cause problems.

Problems Caused by Soldering Defects

The motherboard and graphics card are the two most likely pieces of hardware to create common computer problems because of soldering defects. Both use a component called a metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET). If the MOSFET is not properly soldered to the graphics card or motherboard, the system will become very unstable.
The ball grid array (BGA) is another area where poor soldering can cause a component to fail. This is frequently the cause of graphics card failures. The graphics card overheats and stops sending images to the monitor causing it to shut down.

Faulty Capacitors

The PSU is one of the most important components in a desktop computer because it connects directly to most of the other components. If the PSU is faulty, all of the components it supplies power to are at risk and the potential for common computer problems increases significantly.

The capacitors are the most common part of the PSU to fail. As they age, the capacitors dry out and lose their ability to regulate the voltage output effectively. A qualified technician will be required to replace faulty capacitors. Often the best course of action is to replace the PSU instead of trying to fix it.
The best way to test capacitors is with an oscilloscope. If the PSU is functioning correctly, the line will be flat, as it appears in Figure 4. If the capacitors are faulty, there will be spikes making the line uneven.

It is often possible to identify faulty capacitors just by looking at them. If the capacitors are a little bumpy, then they are faulty. Figure 5 shows faulty capacitors in a PSU. Motherboards also have several capacitors. Figure 6 shows faulty capacitors on a motherboard.

Problems Caused by Overheating

The central processing unit (CPU) is the piece of computer hardware most susceptible to damage from overheating. A large heat sink helps keep the CPU cool. In order for the heat sink to work, it needs to have good contact with the CPU. A thin layer of thermal paste ensures good contact. After a few years, the thermal paste can dry out and will actually keep the heat in rather than allowing it to dissipate. The heat sink can also become clogged with dust and become less effective. It is recommended to clean the inside of the computer with compressed air and replace the thermal paste once a year. Arctic Silver is one of the most trusted brands of computer paste on the market.
Graphics cards are also very susceptible to overheating. When this happens, the monitor will not display anything. This happens randomly when the computer is in use and is much more frequent when used for graphics intensive activities like playing computer games.

A faulty capacitor or BGA soldering can cause overheating. Faulty MOSFET soldering is more common on graphics cards designed for gaming.

Common Hard Drive Problems

Most manufacturers design their hard drives to last for decades. Unfortunately, there is a very good chance they will start failing after only three years. This is usually a result of the manufacturing process. Production of hard drives and other components is happing at a faster and faster rate. For example, a production plant that produced 300 hard drives each day five years ago might turn out 1,000 today. The increased speed of production results in a decrease in quality. This is especially true with the cheaper models.
All of the components in a computer work together and often power fluctuation trigger hard drive failures. The hard drive needs the power supply to stay constant. When it fluctuates, there is a high potential for damage to occur. The PSU is designed prevent power fluctuations to the various computer components. An oscilloscope can easily identify a PSU that is allowing power fluctuations to happen.

USB Ports Causing Computer Problems

It is often very difficult to identify damaged USB ports just by looking at them. When there is damage to the USB ports, the computer will suddenly shut down and restart. These symptoms often lead people to conclude there is a problem with the PSU because the computer can function fine for days with faulty USB ports. The most common USB ports to fail are located n the front of the computer casing.
Most of the common computer problems caused by hardware issues are difficult for the average user to identify. A trained computer technician with the right tools and knowledge can quickly identify the cause and fix it before the computer experiences more damage.

How To Repair Internet Explorer

If you are an Internet Explorer user, you may at times face some problems. You should know how to repair Internet Explorer to avoid wastage of time searching for solutions for different problems on the Internet or otherwise.
The problems can be as diverse as:
1.            Internet Explorer freezes, crashes or hangs
2.            Internet Explorer does not open links
3.            Internet Explorer Troubleshooter Fix It
4.            IE cannot display webpage
5.            Internet Explorer error messages on page
6.            Download Manager is missing in Internet Explorer
7.            Internet Explorer opens and closes immediately

8.            Internet Explorer does not save History Settings

This list is not comprehensive, but indicative. This does not mean Internet Explorer is a bad browser. These things happen with other browsers too. In most cases the steps to repair Internet Explorer are same, and IE is fixed when you find out which add-on is giving problems. This also means in most cases, it is one or more add-on that creates the problem.

Find Out Problematic Add-On
Most programs add their own add-ons into Internet Explorer. When you install programs such as Nero or ZoneAlarm, they install their own toolbars and attempt to change the homepage. Programs like Adobe and HP printer driver too, add their own IE helpers. To handle real-time changes in IE helpers or add-ons, I recommend using WinPatrol.
Repair Internet Explorer
To repair Internet Explorer, first of all you need to see if it is some add-on creating problem. To check out the same, run Internet Explorer without any add-ons and see the performance. If it runs fine, the problem is some add-on.
To run Internet Explorer without add-ons:
1.       Click Start Menu
2.       Click All Programs
3.       Click Accessories
4.       Click System Tools
5.       Click Internet Explorer Without add-ons
To isolate the add-on that is creating problem:
1.       Press ALT + T to open Tools menu
2.       Select Manage Add-ons
3.       When the Manage Add-ons window appears, disable all the toolbars and other add-ons
4.       Enable one add-on
5.       Click OK to close the Manage Add-on Dialog Box
6.       Test the performance of IE
7.       If it gives problem, the add-on you just enabled is the culprit.
8.       If it does not give any problem, keep on enabling and checking IE performance until you find the one giving you the problem
9.       When you find the problematic add-on, simply disable or remove it from IE.
If you enabled all add-ons one by one and the problem is still there, some setting must have been changed in the Internet Options.
This is where you will need to reset Internet Explorer.
To reset the Internet Explorer:
1.       Open Control Panel
2.       Open Internet Options
3.       Go to the Advanced Tab
4.       Click on the Reset Button
5.       Confirm by clicking OK
6.       After the reset, reopen Internet Explorer and see if the problem is gone.
If the problem is still there, you will need to reinstall Internet Explorer. But before you do so, try using our Fix IE utility or the Internet Explorer Troubleshooter and see if it helps you.
This explains how to repair Internet Explorer for common problems. If you have any questions, please feel free to leave a comment below.
